Sarasota Sports Foundation

This past weekend I photographed the Sarasota Sports Foundation's Celebrity Gala and Golf Tournament. This is one of my favorite local organizations, they have raised over $1,000,000 to help prevent child abuse, neglect, and abandonment. I have met some really great people while attending their events over the years. It is always so amazing to see how a small idea can turn into something huge that will cause a positive impact in young lives and possibly change their lives forever! They also announced that their organization is going National and they changed their name to All-Star Children's Foundation. Its easy to overlook the power that one person can have in changing a child's life. There are lots of local organizations that need volunteers check them out...

Katie & Andy

Katie & Andy had destination wedding at Island Park and Marina Jacks. Most of their guests were family that traveled half way across the world to witness this sweet couple's vows! Planning a destination wedding can be difficult but they pulled it off flawlessly...

K & Ryu's Portraits

Yesterday I met K & Ryu on Sarasota's beautiful bay. These handsome little men were very entertaining and full of personality. They definitely made me work their friendship, but it totally was worth it...

I loved their blue shirts with the blues of the boat, water and sky...

One of my favorites...

Corrine & Michael

Corrine and Michael's Engagement session started off at Selby Botanical Gardens and then we walked around Island Park. I think there will be lots of laughter in their future because they both have a great sense of humor! Being able to laugh at life is such a wonderful gift... here is a quote I like...

“Humor is the great thing, the saving thing. The minute it crops up, all our irritation and resentments slip away, and a sunny spirit takes their place.”

Journee & Brian

Journee and Brian's wedding took place at one of my favorite venues- The Sand Bar on Anna Maria Island. The entire day was perfect... the sunny beach, beautiful people, cool fall weather, combined with lots of genuine love and laughter. It almost felt like I was inside a J.Crew catalog!

The vintage style dress...

The gorgeous couple...

Here is a shot of Dylonn, he and Journee work together at D.Cole Hair Design. He did an amazing job styling everyones hair for the wedding but apparently he needed a little help with his tie...
