Sometimes grooms need to have their hair done too!

I caught Mitch kissing his hair stylist...

Who also happens to be his beautiful bride Kristine!!

The cute little squished face in the middle is Mitch and Kristine's son, Saylur.  I'm guessing he gets more kisses then he can handle... he is so darn adorable.

Mitch and some of his fellow band mates from Men from Mars have formed a new band, 3 Peace.  If you are in the mood for some awesome music and a good time check them out... Wednesdays at the 5 o'clock club in Sarasota, and Thursdays at the Distillery in Bradenton.  You might be surprised to know that all 3 band members have little babies who are almost the same age.... Perhaps they will start their own band in 15 years or so?

Congratulations Kristine & Mitch!

The Naked Cowboy!

I think that anyone who can make a living playing the guitar in their underwear is pretty impressive.  I had planned on photographing the Naked Cowboy last month but he got snowed into NYC and could not make it.  So I was happy to hear that he made arrangements to make the trip down here again.   I heard that there were several calls to the police from people wondering what this crazy naked guy was doing in the streets of Sarasota.  I thought it was funny that during the shoot that the Naked Cowboy was referred to as "Cowboy" by his friends that were along with him... I am not sure what his real name is, perhaps his birth certificate
reads "Naked Cowboy"??? He was very nice and so much fun to photograph!

Thanks for being a great model Cowboy!

Jessie & Mike- Sarasota Photography

I seem to be photographing a lot of couples lately who are making their way down south!   Jessie & Mike are the latest "snow birds".  They were visiting all the way from Wisconsin to finalize the details for their destination wedding which will be held on Siesta Key in August.  They were very laid back and fun to work with! Its always nice to leave a session and feel like I have made some new friends :0) This is one of the reasons I love shooting engagement sessions... it gives everyone a chance to get to know each other before the big day.

Aurore & David

David and Aurore have been dating for years and were both very excited to finally tie the knot. They had their ceremony at Lakewood Ranch Polo Club which offers an amazing backdrop for portraits.  It was a very windy day!  Thankfully someone had some extra string for the arch, and duck tape for the aisle runner or they both would have been long gone before the ceremony even started...

Aurore handled the wind with a smile, whoever pinned her veil in did a great job!

The flower girl before the ceremony... I think she is deciding on whether or not to go through with the wedding. :0)

Check out these fabulous gold Bridesmaid dresses!

This image made me laugh out loud when I first saw it, doesn't it look like Aurore is blowing away!?

I always try and get a couple of extra special portraits of the bride...

One of my favorites...

Congratulations Aurore & David!!!

Emily & Mark- Don Cesar Wedding Photography

Emily and Mark are smart... they left snowy Indiana and headed south to St.Pete Beach for their destination wedding at the Don Cesar.

I think the idea of having multiple flower girls is great!  These three were such hams :0)

Emily and Mark had a very cool surprise when we were out on the beach...

Wedding day BLISS...

We had plenty of time for portraits so we did some fun ones like this...

I bet they will look back at this one when they are freezing cold in Michigan and miss the warmth of sunny Florida!

When the sun finally did set we had to be upstairs for the Reception.  While the wedding coordinator lined everyone up I had Emily stand in this window sill and captured some beautiful portraits of her!

Congratulations Emily & Mark!!!

Tracy & Tommy

I first met Tracy last year while photographing the Sarasota Film Festival. Tracy is one of the creative masterminds in charge of making the SFF so spectacular. Did you know they have an entire staff that works year round to prepare for the 10 day festival? This year marks their 10th Anniversary so I am sure we will be in for even more great surprises and celebrities. If you have not been to the festival before, its a blast! Check out www.SarasotaFilmFest.com for more information. In the past few years I have photographed the festival for magazines... this year I am especially excited because I have been hired to be one of the official photographers for the festival!

Now on to the portraits of the beautiful couple...

Amanda & Jimmy

Amanda and Jimmy wanted to have their engagement session downtown and on the bay. I found a great place that has 3 huge green clovers painted on it and I knew immediately that I wanted to do some portraits there. Amanda and Jimmy had to follow me to this location and I was a little nervous driving because Jimmy is a police officer... he assured me that he was off duty and would not give me a ticket!
